During my "Four Weddings" trip home to Newfoundland, Keli Ryan and I decided to rent a car and have a "typical" Newfoundland summer vacation. We found history at Ferryland's "Colony of Avalon" dig, a monument to the sea in the Cape Race Lighthouse, the ride on the ocean in a visit to Eddie's parents (Doug and Ruth Thomas) in Hodges Cove, the absurd in the Trinity Train Loop and finally alcohol at the Markland Vinyards near Whitbourne.
