Thursday, December 2 –East Railey Beach

Foot is painful but no sign of infection. Spend the morning walking around, checking out the climbing areas around Railey and Ton Sai. Looks really cool, shame I won’t get to do any climbing. After lunch, we go kayaking again. An extensive trip to all the beaches on the Laem Phra Nang headland – Ao Nang, Tonsai, Railey, Ao Phra Nang. Again spectacular, and again we didn’t have a waterproof camera. Late in the afternoon, watch the sun disappear behind a bank of clouds into the Andaman Sea. Not the nicest sunset I’ve ever seen – that’d be Zanzibar - but still pretty close.

Long trek home begins tomorrow. So a last beer, clean my wounds, and off to bed.
