Saturday, December 4 – Singapore

Raffles Landing Site, Singapore

Last day of my vacation. After a leisurely breakfast, Chris & I head into town and take one of the Hop on, Hop off tours. Which was not so much a tour as a sort of shuttle bus to hotels and shopping centres. Still, get a good idea of the lay of the town. Spend the afternoon touring the Museum of Asian Civilization. Huge, with lots of really interesting displays. It’s one of those museums, like the Met in NYC, that I could see myself going back to many times.

We have dinner at Original Sin, a nice vegetarian-Mediterranean restaurant in Holland Village. Then back into town for a Singapore must-do: Singapore Slings at the Raffles Long Bar. Next, sangria at CHIJMES, and finally cocktails on the Esplanade, from which I can see the Singapore Mer-Lion on the waterfront. Great night to end a great trip.
